Question: When try to open Documentum Administrator, I got a popup says "Request to Docbroker Failed.

An error has occurred. 
[DFC_DOCBROKER_REQUEST_FAILED] Request to Docbroker "192.168.0.99:1489" failed

Answer:

  1. Make sure your Content Server (where Docbroker is running) IP was correct.
  2. Try to ping your Content Server to make sure your server is up.
  3. Try to telnet port 1489 on your Content Server toe make sure your Docbroker is running.
  4. If neccessary, to change the following lines on your DFC.properties to correct value:
dfc.docbroker.host[0]=192.168.0.99
dfc.docbroker.port[0]=1489
